Vintage Tether Hydros

Remember the old Thriftway tether boats from way back? They all started in 1956 as kits from American Junior and then Dumas Co. kits. Over the years I have tried to find them in any condition and bring them back to life! Some of these boats were well used and abused and some were simply left to die in a closet or attic. All of these "running" restorations have era correct hardware from the engine to the rudder. I try to replicate the real boats for the most part, but creative license reigns supreme with most of them.
I started restoring these out of guilt for destroying my Dad's two Thriftways he kept for so many years. Yes, I gave him a couple boats to replace them.
