I have a picture of Gale V that was taken in the early 1950 in Elizabeth City, NC at the International Cup Regatta of Gale IV and V.  I assume in 1954.  The Gale V has sponsons similar to those of the Miss US 1,  the 200 MPH record holder.  My father always said Lee had fliped here one year, lost his watch, and been a jerk because the divers could not find the watch. Is this the boat that flipped?  Why are there not more images of this Hull?  Was the wreck in Elizabeth City fatal for this…See More
