If you're ever interested, a couple of us go run our model boats on the Spokane river near Felts Field in Spokane Valley (once it warms up again). As close to driving the real ones as I'll ever get.
yes I got to ride on a limited class hydroplane when I was a little kid at baker lake several times and now I am trying to do some research on hydroplanes and see what I got at a garage sale if it was ever a race boat or if it was advertisement
