Hi Mark

Ron Musson was my favorite hydroplane driver of all time.He was a great driver and had a great personality.I have many boxes of hydroplane collectables.Programs, buttons as well as newspaper articles. The crown jewel is a Ron Musson autograghed Bardahl postcard.

It is I believe 1964 or 65.Its the real deal!I was about 9 or 10 during qualifiing at Seattle Seafair when I fought my way up to the fence inside the pits when Ron was walking through .I battled to the fence past people much bigger than me.Just as I made it to the fence Ron walking by and I asked him to sign my card.He walked up to the fence, asked me ny name, signed the postcard, smiled and contiued on.Back then I liked all sports.Football,Baseball,Boxing and car racing. But anyone who could climb in a boat that could travel 160MPH + with nothing but a couple of hip pads and slightly modified foot pedals was bigger than life. These guys were my heroes.

Mr. Manchester,

My name is Jim Sharkey and I am on Fred Farley's Historical Committee.  Would you be interested in getting a copy of Rex Manchesters and Ron Munson's race records?  I would be more than happy to send them to you.

Well it used to be. . . but I've never gotten a chance to drive the Green Dragon, and right now I"m having lots of fun in the Wahoo, so for the time being, Wahoo is my favorite. (If I ever get a chance to drive the Bardahl, that could change everything real quickly. . . )
