We're racing through history!

Well, it has been awhile since I made a post to this blog so I thought it was time for an update.  I am continuing to work with a great group of people on restoration of the 1958 Miss Bardahl.  After several months of cleaning and disassembly we finally have some visible progress as several aluminum panels have been attached to the stringers in between the rear frames.  On a more personal note, the hydroplane I am building for my boys has been flipped right side up.  Hopefully, some pictures will be posted soon.

Leaving dust on your boat? What are we supposed to do; sweep it off and glue it back on the 'Blaster? That's nearly "sacred dust" you're talking about, Steve. I'm almost surprised Glenn hasn't figured out how to bottle it and sell it on Ebay.

That said, and because you're a member of the Bardahl team, feel free to take as much of that dust as you want home with you. Heaven knows I do, every day, on my clothes and much to my wife's dismay.

We do have a plan to ameliorate the issue though. It's quite silly though so I won't bother to provide the details here.

You will finish.  The BB group work is outstanding.  The decking is really starting to look nice.  BTW, quit leaving dust on our boat :).

Nice report Steve. As part of the Blue Blaster restoration team I get to see the Green Dragon nearly everyday. Greg gave me a brief tour/update on the progress the other day and indeed the work is starting to become more obvious. Don't get in too much or a hurry though; after nearly 3 years working on the 'Blaster it's good to look over at Miss Bardahl and get some perspective on where we started. I need that on those days when I wonder if we'll ever finish the restoration.

Restoring these old Thunderboats isn't easy, but it's greatly rewarding. You're working with a great team with a lot of experience. Enjoy every moment.
