Help me folks; back in the early 70s, there was a video of one of the vest known thunderboat drivers ever and basically he held back the exact distance to take off fro beginning start line and have full speed at that time.  Of course, he won the heat and was amazingly called the very best start in Thunderboat history.  Write me please at primitivecool@hotmail.com.  I have a Griffon engine ready to rebuilt and start out among the Thunderboats before a complete educational system will see used with this engine.  Kevin Michael Callihan, Athens, Ohio.
