1973 Pay 'N Pak

The "Winged Wonder" Pay 'N Pak ranks among the all-time great unlimited hydroplanes with 22 race victories. It stands with designer Ron Jones, Sr.'s other big winner, the 1980 Rolls-Royce Griffon-powered Miss Budweiser, which likewise captured 22 first-place trophies.

When the boat was new it did not have the orange "Pay-N_Pak stripe that goes up the vertical wing support. Looking back it doesn't look right without it. Anybody know the timetable/circumstances of when the stripes were added ?

Proudly joining the 1973 Miss Pay N Pak group. Special thank you to Mike Hanson who is teaching myself and the crew a great deal about refurbishing this great race boat

Moving back to Seattle around the first of the year.  hope there is room for me on the restoration crew then.  I can twist a wrench or screwdriver where told to, though I freely admit, I am no mechanic by trade.  good luck to all of ye!
