Several years ago someone was building a replica of the Thriftway Too... What ever happened to this project?

Several years ago I read the original boat was owned by somebody I believe in PA (a collector).

I had an opportunity to interview Ted Jones many years ago for a Jr High School job career assignment and I asked him about this boat (it had disappeared and I was curious where it had gone). He said it was burned -- owner did not want it to wind up in anybody's hands being used in an inappropriate manner.
