We're racing through history!

Sorry I missed the celebration since I was out of town. Uncle Bob is a great resource to the museum and I'm proud to call him my friend and mentor. I'm certain many of our non-local members and followers of this website may not be familiar with his contributions to the sport of Unlimited Hydroplane racing. Uncle Bob has literally written the book on the sport. I am embarrassed to admit I can't recall the actual title, because those of us who are close to him simply refer to it as "Uncle Bob's book" It's self published - he prints single copies on request using his own printer - and is arguably the finest - if concise - history of every unlimited to ever turn a propellor in anger. It's even in the Library of Congress now, I believe. It's not inexpensive, but then neither is his unusual method of printing single copies. He does this, i'm sure, out of his love for the sport in which he's been involved for so many years and not to make a profit.
I wish every follower of this website could meet him. Despite his occasional warnings, waving his cane at me as I work on the Blue Blaster or just shaking his head at me as I try to apply new tools and different methods in restoring an old race boat, he is a gentleman and just a lot of fun to be around.
God Bless you, Uncle Bob and many happy returns. Thanks for all you do to help me be a better crew member on the team and for your stories, your huge collection of old photos and for just being a great friend. You really are a treasure.
