In the beginning.....

As the Blue Blaster Team nears the start of our 5th year of the restoration it is interesting to look back to when we started. This is the only photo I have among nearly 4500 taken during the project that shows the 'Blaster before we began taking it apart. From this angle it might seem that the project might not be so difficult. That said, the only things you see in the photo that weren't replaced, restored, reworked or repainted are the "sawhorses" holding the battens being prepared for use in the construction of Miss Wahoo.

We still have much to do, but we're getting there. Keep watching the mueum website for further developments and planning for the project.
