One of my cousins was Rex Manchester; his mother and my mother were sisters.  In March of 1966 I was asked to take motion pictures of the pre race season test runs of the Notre Dame.  The Dame was launched from the old Jett's Marina at Rainier Beach.  I filmed with an 8mm Bolex P1 zoom reflex camera and the movie encompassed two days of testing which also included scenes at the Notre Dame shop on Aurora Avenue.  Three weeks after I gave the 15+ minute film to the crew I went to Air Force basic…See More
