One of my cousins was Rex Manchester; his mother and my mother were sisters. In March of 1966 I was asked to take motion pictures of the pre race season test runs of the Notre Dame. The Dame was launched from the old Jett's Marina at Rainier Beach. I filmed with an 8mm Bolex P1 zoom reflex camera and the movie encompassed two days of testing which also included scenes at the Notre Dame shop on Aurora Avenue.
