2013 Summer Gala "RACING IS MAGIC" at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue

4th Annual Doha Slumber Party is CANCELED at The Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum

 I'm sorry to have to announce that due to schedule changes and bad weather in the Middle East, the 4th Annual Hydro Museum Slumber Party has been canceled.  In the past, we have had been able to watch nine heats of racing. (Four heats archived from earlier in the event, and five heats, including the final live.) This year due to threatening weather in Doha, all eight of the preliminary heats have been run ahead of schedule, but as of this writing, are not yet available in the archive. I like what you are doing with the vintage hydroplane exibitions this season.

This is a great tool for young and old to learn about the sport from years pasts.

I was at the lake today and it was a great site to see and hear the great boats from the past run. If I could be any assistance on saturday or sunday in the pits  it would be my honor.

Pipe dream to drive.Just throwing it out there.I would be honored just to be with the action.

David, I noticed that the 1955 Thriftway and 1962 Bardahl are included in the restoration page. As a long time museum supporter (though from afar) I would be pleased to have the 1955 GALE V included. I would be happy to write something for the page.
