Prolonged absence

To all my friends at the HARM I wanted to apologize for my prolonged absence from helping on the Miss Bardahl.  Life sometimes gets in the way of things we would rather be doing and one Thursday after another has passed and now that I look back it has been an extended time.  As a CPA and the middle of February, it will probably be at least a couple more months before I can return.  I just wanted to let everybody I will be back as soon as able.See More

"You will finish.  The BB group work is outstanding.  The decking is really starting to look nice.  BTW, quit leaving dust on our boat :)."

Visible progress

Well, it has been awhile since I made a post to this blog so I thought it was time for an update.  I am continuing to work with a great group of people on restoration of the 1958 Miss Bardahl.  After several months of cleaning and disassembly we finally have some visible progress as several aluminum panels have been attached to the stringers in between the rear frames.  On a more personal note, the hydroplane I am building for my boys has been flipped right side up.  Hopefully, some pictures…See More

I'm official

Last week I received my official membership card and pin (thanks David), so I feel official.  It's been a couple of months now volunteering each Thursday at the museum helping restore the 1958 Miss Bardahl.  Yes, it's work, but what a great bunch of guys. I sent an email today to our firm's (Bader Martin, just in case anybody needs a good CPA) event planning committee suggesting they consider renting the facility for our next event.  David, it might be a good idea to add something to the…See More
