Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum
We're racing through history!
The "Winged Wonder" Pay 'N Pak ranks among the all-time great unlimited hydroplanes with 22 race victories. It stands with designer Ron Jones, Sr.'s other big winner, the 1980 Rolls-Royce Griffon-powered Miss Budweiser, which likewise captured 22 first-place trophies.

I'm about to start building the Craftmasters 1/25 Pay' N Pak. Beautiful model! Question: the instructions call for an orange engine block. In recent pics it appears to be black. Has anyone seen the restored boat close up? Also, I haven't found any good, clear pics of the engine, both for color and hose/wire layouts. Appreciate any thoughts.
That sure looks Good! Is that a 1/25 scale kit from Craftmasters? Great job on a GREAT Boat.
Since I am in CO and can't make the Crew Lecture tonight I will spend the evening enjoying the Video Vault treasures devoted to the Pay-N-Pak...
Hail The Pay-N-Pak and All Hail The Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum!
Though I will not be able to attend the lecture I did receive my orange Booster T-shirt in the mail yesterday and it is AWESOME!
Hail Pay-N-Pak!
Now those are the kind of home movies you don't mind having to sit through...Thanks for sharing
Great stuff Doug! Thanks for sharing!
I was at the Stan Sayers pits for the debut of the brand new 1973 Pay 'N Pak. This home movie was taken from a 8mm movie camera (without sound). The Pay 'N Pak footage starts at about 47 seconds . I had the movie transferred to DVD and then uploaded to YouTube.

One of my all time favorites. Can't wait to the Pak back on the water.
